Stacy L. Freeman
Stacy Freeman is a versatile civil litigation attorney with particular expertise in motion work and appellate briefing. She has handled appeals in both state and federal court involving a broad range of substantive areas, including wrongful termination and retaliation, corporate-successor liability, real estate, probate, and government immunity. She calls upon her combined trial and appellate court experience to successfully counsel clients through all stages of litigation including discovery, mediation, pre- and post-trial motions, briefing, oral arguments, writs, and petitions for rehearing and review.
Stacy began her career in complex commercial litigation at Latham & Watkins, preparing global clients for trade secrets litigation and federal antitrust review. She subsequently specialized in civil appellate law with an appellate boutique; practiced real estate litigation at Cox, Castle & Nicholson; and served as a Senior Appellate Court Attorney for the Honorable Laurie D. Zelon in Division Seven of the California Court of Appeal.
Her combined trial and appellate experience has acutely attuned her to the future ramifications of each aspect of litigation. This enables her to lay strong legal foundations so that her clients’ verdicts withstand scrutiny, and to ensure that the record reflects and protects her clients’ interests.
